חֲצִי שְׁנַת אוֹר חֲצִי שְׁנַת חֹשֶׁךְ

כָּךְ אֲנִי רוֹצֶה לִחְיוֹת חַיַּי

בַּחֵצִי הַמּוּאָר אֶתְאַמֵּן בְּהַחְזָרַת הַצֵּל אֶל הַשֶּׁמֶשׁ

בַּחֵצִי הֶחָשׁוּךְ אֶתְאַמֵּן בְּהַנְבָּעָת מְאוֹר עֵינַי.

יִהְיֶה לִי חָבֵר שֶׁמִּמֶּרְכָּז כַּפּוֹת יָדָיו יִצְמְחוּ עֲצֵי שֶׁסֶק

תִּהְיֶה לִי חֲבֵרָה שבאישוניה יְהַלְּכוּ גְּמַלִּים עַל נוֹף מִדְבָּר

כְּמַחֲצִית הַיּוֹם נַחֲלֹם אֶת הָעוֹלָם הַזֶּה

וּבַשְּׁאָר נַעֲסֹק בְּאַהֲבָה.

No need to try to understand

Half-year, light, half-year, obscurity

This is how I want to live my life

During the lit half, I’ll practice bringing the shadow back to the sun

During the dark half, I’ll practice radiating from the light of my eyes

Loquat trees will sprout from the center of my boyfriend’s palms

Camels will walk into the desert’s horizon in my girlfriend’s pupils

Half of the day we will dream about this world

And the remainder we will be engaged in love.
